This Order may be cited as the Scotland Act 1998 (Transitory and Transitional Provisions)(Complaints of Maladministration) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on the principal appointed day.

In this Order—
 “the 1967 Act” means the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967;
 “the principal Order” means the Scotland Act 1998 (Transitory and Transitional Provisions) (Complaints of Maladministration) Order 1999;
 “the Scottish Commissioner” means the Scottish Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration appointed in accordance with article 4 of the principal Order.

For article 17(1)(c) of the principal Order (modifications of the 1967 Act), there shall be substituted the following—“
(c) in section 11A (consultations between Parliamentary Commissioner and the Health Service Commissioners) the reference—
(i) in subsection (1) to the Health Service Commissioner for Scotland shall be read as if it included a reference to the Scottish Commissioner;
(ii) in subsection (1)(b) to the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993 shall be read as if it included a reference to this Order; and
(iii) in subsection (2) to the Health Service Commissioner shall be read as if it included a reference to the Scottish Commissioner; and”.
