(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (General) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1999.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal regulations” means the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994.

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations (registration fees) for “£100” there shall be substituted “£120”.

In regulation 4 of the principal regulations (retention fees)–
(a) in paragraph (1)(a) for “£100” there shall be substituted “£120”;
(b) in paragraph (2)(b) for “£45” there shall be substituted “£55”;
(c) in paragraph (2)(c) for “£20” there shall be substituted “£25”.

In regulation 5 of the principal regulations (Penalty)–
(a) in paragraph (a) for “£50” there shall be substituted “£60”;

In regulation 9, after paragraph 2(d) there is added the following paragraph–“
(e) he has not failed an examination set by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain for registration as a pharmaceutical chemist in Great Britain.”.
