(1) This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998, but shall have effect, where appropriate, from the dates specified in this Order.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Superannuation Act 1972.

(1) Section 1 of the Act shall apply to—
(a) persons employed in the National Criminal Intelligence Service (being employment which is remunerated out of the NCIS service fund), and
(b) persons employed in the National Crime Squad (being employment which is remunerated out of the NCS service fund).
(2) Employment in the National Criminal Intelligence Service and employment in the National Crime Squad are hereby added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Act.

(1) Section 1 of the Act shall apply to the following offices with effect from the dates specified below—
(a) (with effect from 1 September 1994) Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools in England,
(b) (with effect from 1 September 1992) Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales, and
(c) (with effect from 1st April 1996) the Chairman of the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority.
(2) The above offices are hereby added to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Act.
