This Order may be cited as the Area Tourist Boards Amending Scheme (Scotland) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 5th March 1998.

The scheme set out in the Schedule to this Order shall have effect.

SCHEDULE
Article 2
1 

(1) The scheme set out in the Schedule to each Order listed in paragraph 3 below shall be amended in accordance with paragraph 2 below.
2 
In paragraph 8(2)–
(a) at the end of sub-paragraph (b) delete “and”; and
(b) after sub-paragraph (b) insert–“
(ba) to borrow such sums as it may require;
(bb) to grant security over its assets in respect of obligations incurred by it; and
(bc) to grant guarantees for obligations (arising out of loans or otherwise) incurred by other persons or grant indemnities; and”.
