This Order may be cited as the A4 Trunk Road (Bath Road and Hatch Lane, Hillingdon) (Prohibition of U-Turn) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 25th February 1998.

In this Order:
 “Hatch Lane” means the road of that name in the London Borough of Hillingdon; and
 “the Trunk Road” means that length of the A4 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Hillingdon known as Bath Road.

Save as provided in article 4 below, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle—
(a) on entering the Trunk Road from the southbound carriageway of Hatch Lane to make a U-turn so as to proceed in the opposite direction; or
(b) proceeding in the eastbound carriageway of the Trunk Road to make a U-turn at the junction with Hatch Lane so as to proceed in the opposite direction.
4 
Nothing in article 3 above shall apply to—
(a) any vehicle being used for Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulance purposes; or
(b) anything done at the direction of, or with the permission of, a constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
