(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 4th March 1998.
(2) In these Regulations, a reference to “the principal Regulations” is a reference to the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1989.

(1) Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations (overseas visitors exempt from charges) shall be amended by–
(a) deleting paragraph (a)(iii);
(b) inserting at the end of paragraph (p) the word “; or”;
(c) inserting after paragraph (p) the following paragraph:–“
(q) who is pursuing a full time course of study.”.
3 
Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations (countries or territories in respect of which the United Kingdom has entered into a reciprocal agreement) shall be amended by deleting the words “Hong Kong”.
