This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) (No. 3) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 21st May 1998.

Each of the following, being a person appearing to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and to the Secretary of State for Wales to be exercising functions of a public nature, shall be a public body for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 in its application to England and Wales:
 Newham Healthcare Trust
 Bristol Regeneration Partnership Limited
 West Euston Partnership Limited
 The Institute of Burial and Cremation Administration.

(1) The restrictions in paragraph (2) below shall not apply in relation to the Institute of Burial and Cremation Administration.
(2) Agreements which may be entered into by virtue of this Order—
(a) by Newham Healthcare Trust shall be restricted to agreements with the London Borough of Newham for the supply of goods or materials or the provision of administrative, professional or technical services by that authority to that body in respect of Newham General Hospital and within that authority’s area; and
(b) by Bristol Regeneration Partnership Limited or West Euston Partnership Limited shall be restricted to agreements with a local authority for the supply of goods or materials or the provision of administrative, professional or technical services by that authority to that body, in connection with financial or other assistance given or to be given to that body by any person for the purposes of the regeneration of any part of that authority’s area.
