(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 31st December 1997.
(2) In these Regulations “the 1992 Regulations” means the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (Wales) Regulations 1992.

Schedules 1, 2 and 4 to the 1992 Regulations are amended as follows.

(1) In paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the 1992 Regulations, after sub-paragraph (1), there is inserted—“
(1A) For the purposes of sub-paragraph (1) above there shall be ignored any determination in so far as it is made in respect of the occupation of a hereditament for the purposes of a county school (within the meaning of section 31(1) of the Education Act 1996).”
(2) Paragraph (1) applies to a determination in so far as it is made in respect of a day in a financial year beginning on or after 1st April 1998.

In relation to financial years beginning on or after 1st April 1998—
(a) in paragraph 2(12) of Schedule 2 to the 1992 Regulations, for “0.962” there is substituted “0.996”;
(b) in paragraph 8(1) of that Schedule, for “1.4 per cent.” there shall be substituted “1.1 per cent.”; and
(c) for Schedule 4 to the 1992 Regulations there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
