These Regulations may be cited as the Medicines (Pharmacies) (Applications for Registration and Fees) Amendment Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 1st January 1998.

In regulation 3 of the Medicines (Pharmacies) (Applications for Registration and Fees) Regulations 1973 (fees)—
(a) in paragraph (1) (fee for registration of premises), for “£128” substitute “£131” and for “£69” (fee where premises are in Northern Ireland) substitute “£71”;
(b) in paragraph (2) (retention fee), for “£82” substitute “£84” and for “£64” (fee where premises are in Northern Ireland) substitute “£66”;
(c) in paragraph (3) (additional sum by way of penalty), for “£264” substitute “£270” and for “£197” (sum where premises are in Northern Ireland) substitute “£202”.

The Medicines (Pharmacies) (Applications for Registration and Fees) Amendment Regulations 1996 are hereby revoked.
