These Regulations may be cited as the Mink (Keeping) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into force on 1st January 1998.

The Mink (Keeping) Regulations 1975 shall be amended in regulation 5 by the substitution for paragraph (3) thereof (fee payable in respect of the granting of a licence in accordance with section 3 of the Act) of the following paragraph—“
(3) On the granting of a licence in accordance with section 3 of the Act or, as the case may be, section 8 of the Act, there shall be paid to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Wales or the Secretary of State for Scotland, as the case may be, the following fee—
(a) in the case of a licence granted in accordance with section 3 of the Act, £630; and
(b) in the case of a licence granted in accordance with section 8 of the Act—
(i) in England and Wales, £185; and
(ii) in Scotland, £60.”
