This Order may be cited as the Planning and Compensation Act 1991 (Commencement No.18 and Transitional Provision) (Scotland) Order 1995.

In this Order—
 “the 1972 Act” means the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972;
 “the 1991 Act” means the Planning and Compensation Act 1991.

The following provisions of the 1991 Act shall come into force on 30th August 1995:—
 section 59;
 section 61 insofar as it relates to the provision of Schedule 13 referred to below;
 section 80 insofar as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 18 referred to below;
 section 84(6) insofar as it gives effect to the repeals in Part IV of Schedule 19 specified in the Schedule to this Order;
 Schedule 11;
 in Schedule 13 paragraph 40(2); and
 in Schedule 18 the entries in Part I in respect of sections 56J(8) and 56K(12) of the 1972 Act.

The amendments to Schedule 6A to the 1972 Act brought into force by this Order shall not apply with respect to any proposals for the making or alteration of a simplified planning zone scheme which are or have been made available for inspection in accordance with paragraphs 5 or 6 of Schedule 6A to the 1972 Act before the coming into force of this Order but where that scheme or that alteration of a scheme has not yet come into operation on that date.
