This Order may be cited as the Building Societies (Non-Retail Funds and Deposits) (Limit on Election) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st September 1995.

For the purposes of section 7(6) of the Building Societies Act 1986 (which prescribes a limit on the amount of a society’s liabilities to any person which may be disregarded pursuant to an election by the society not to count certain funds or deposits towards the limit on non-retail funds and deposits), for £50,000 as the prescribed amount there shall be substituted £100,000.
In witness whereof the common seal of the Building Societies Commission is hereunto fixed, and is authenticated by me, a person authorised under paragraph 14 of Schedule 1 to the Building Societies Act 1986, on
