These Regulations may be cited as the Hill Livestock (Compensatory Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1994, shall apply to Great Britain, and shall come into force on 22nd January 1994.

The Hill Livestock (Compensatory Allowances) Regulations 1993 shall be amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 5 below.

In regulation 3 thereof (compensatory allowances)—
(a) in paragraph (3)(b)(i) there shall be substituted for the words “is available” the words “appears to the appropriate Minister to have been available”; and
(b) in paragraph (4)(b)(ii) there shall be substituted for the words “is available” the words “the appropriate Minister is satisfied was available”.

In regulation 9 thereof (release from undertaking) there shall be substituted for the words “shall be released” the words “is released”.

In regulation 10(1) thereof (withholding or recovery of compensatory allowance) there shall be substituted for the words “which has not been released in accordance with regulation 9” the words “from which he has not been released by virtue of regulation 9”.
