These Regulations may be cited as the Bovine Offal (Prohibition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 2nd November 1994.

(1) The Bovine Offal (Prohibition) (Scotland) Regulations 1990 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.
(2) In regulation 2(1), for the definition of “specified bovine offal” there shall be substituted the following:—“
 “specified bovine offal” means the following parts of a bovine animal:—
(a) the brain, spinal cord, spleen, thymus, tonsils and intestines of an animal, more than six months of age, which has died or been slaughtered in the United Kingdom;
(b) the thymus and intestines of an animal, two months or over but not more than six months of age, which has died or been slaughtered in the United Kingdom;
(c) the thymus and intestines of an animal, under two months of age, which has been slaughtered in the United Kingdom; andwhich no longer form part of the carcase of an animal;”.
(3) Paragraph (b) of regulation 3 shall be deleted.
