This Order may be cited as the A4 Trunk Road (Great West Road, Hounslow) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 30th September 1994.

In this Order—
 “Great West Road” means that length of the A4 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Hounslow known as Great West Road;
 “Syon Lane” means the road of that name in the London Borough of Hounslow;
 “eastern traffic island” means the island site in the westbound carriageway of Great West Road which extends eastwards from its junction with Syon Lane for a distance of 9.3 metres; and
 “western traffic island” means the island site in the eastbound carriageway of Great West Road which extends westwards from its junction with Syon Lane for a distance of 10.8 metres.

Every person causing or permitting a vehicle to pass to the right of the eastern traffic island or the western traffic island shall cause that vehicle to turn right into Syon Lane.

Every person causing or permitting a vehicle to pass to the left of the eastern traffic island or the western traffic island shall cause that vehicle to proceed straight ahead or turn left.
5 
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
