This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1993 (Commencement No.5) Order 1994.

The provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1993 (“the 1993 Act”) referred to in the left-hand column of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters described in the right-hand column of the Schedule) shall come into force on 1st March 1994.

(1) Subject to paragraphs (2) and (3) below, this Order extends to the United Kingdom.
(2) So far as relating to the following provisions of the 1993 Act, namely, paragraph 4 of Schedule 5 and, so far as relating to the Company Securities (Insider Dealing) Act 1985 and to the Companies Act 1989, Schedule 6, this Order extends to Great Britain only.
(3) So far as relating to the following provisions of the 1993 Act, namely, paragraphs 18 to 22 of Schedule 5 and Part II (save as applying to the Banking Coordination (Second Council Directive) Regulations 1992) of Schedule 6, this Order extends to Northern Ireland only.
