(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Medicines (Sale or Supply) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 12th October 1994.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Medicines (Sale or Supply) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1980.

For sub-paragraph (a) of regulation 8(2) of the principal Regulations (pack size on retail sale or supply of certain medicinal products on a general sale list) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph—“
(a) in the case of effervescent tablets—
(i) which do not contain aspirin, or where the amount of aspirin in each tablet does not exceed 325 milligrams, not more than 30 tablets;
(ii) where the amount of aspirin in each tablet exceeds 325 milligrams, but does not exceed 500 milligrams, not more than 20 tablets.”.
