This Order may be cited as the Bournemouth and West Hampshire (Amendment of Local Enactments etc.) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st July 1994.

(1) As from 1st July 1994 any reference to, or to the undertaking of, Bournemouth and West Hampshire in any local statutory provision and in any charges scheme made by Bournemouth and West Hampshire under section 76 of the Water Act 1989 or section 143 of the Water Industry Act 1991 shall have effect, subject to the following provisions of this article, as a reference to Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water Plc or, as the case may be, to the undertaking of Bournemouth and West Hampshire Plc.
(2) Paragraph (1) shall only apply to any local statutory provision or charges scheme in relation to the area, things or persons in relation to which or to whom that provision or scheme has effect before 1st July 1994.
(3) In section 11 of the Bournemouth Gas and Water Act 1940 (restrictions on abstraction of water from river Avon), in subsection (2)(a), for the words from “the Avon and Stour Catchment Board” to “or any of them” there shall be substituted “and the Avon and Stour Catchment Board (in this section referred to as”“the catchment board”) or either of them

The local statutory provisions referred to in the Schedule to this Order are repealed to the extent indicated in that Schedule with effect from 1st July 1994.
