(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st May 1993.
(2) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—
 “the Principal Regulations” means the Trade Union and Employers' Associations (Amalgamations, etc.) Regulations 1975:
 “the 1992 Act” means the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.

In paragraph (1) of regulation 11 of the Principal Regulations (fees to accompany an application for approval of a proposed instrument of amalgamation or transfer) for the words “£1241” there shall be substituted the words “£1347”.

In paragraph (2) of regulation 11 of the Principal Regulations for the words “£71” there shall be substituted the words “£90” (fee on an application for approval of a change of name) and for the words “£38” there shall be substituted the words “£55” (fee for every inspection on the same day of documents kept by the Certification Officer under Chapter VII of the 1992 Act relating to one and the same organisation).

In regulation 12 of the Principal Regulations (fee for the entry of the name of an amalgamated organisation in the lists maintained by the Certification Officer where the name of each of the amalgamating organisations is already so entered) for the words “£110” there shall be substituted the words “£127”.

The fee of £291 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 3(2) of the 1992 Act (fee on application of an organisation of workers to have its name entered in the list of trade unions).

The fee of £291 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 124(2) of the 1992 Act (fee on application of an organisation of employers to have its name entered in the list of employers' associations).

The fee of £436 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 6(1) of the 1992 Act (fee on application by a trade union for a certificate of independence).

The Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1992 are hereby revoked.
