This Order may be cited as the Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy Districts (Mossmorran) Boundaries Amendment Order 1993, and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.

In this Order:—
 “the 1977 Regulations” means the Local Government Area Changes (Scotland) Regulations 1977; and
 “boundary map” means the map prepared by The Scottish Office marked “The Dunferm line and Kirkcaldy Districts (Mossmorran) Boundaries Amendment Order 1993” and deposited in accordance with regulation 3 of the 1977 Regulations;and, in the Schedule to this Order, any reference to a district boundary is a reference to such a boundary as it exists immediately before the commencement of this Order.

Save insofar as they can have no application in relation to the area changes effected by this Order, the provisions of the 1977 Regulations shall apply in relation thereto for the purposes of, or in consequence of, this Order.

(1) That part of Dunfermline District in Fife Region, being the Area A described in Part I of the Schedule to this Order and shown delineated, hatched and marked area “A” on the boundary map, shall be transferred to Kirkcaldy District in Fife Region.
(2) That part of Kirkcaldy District in Fife Region, being the Area B described in Part II of the Schedule to this Order and shown delineated, hatched and marked area “B” on the boundary map, shall be transferred to Dunfermline District in Fife Region.

(1) Area A described in Part I of the Schedule to this Order (being the Area A transferred by article 4(1) of this Order)—
(a) shall cease to form part of electoral division 33 (Lochgelly) of Fife Region and ward 10 (Lochgelly South) of Dunfermline District; and
(b) shall form part of electoral division 2 (Auchtertool/Linktown/Invertiel) of Fife Region and ward 4 (Linktown/Auchtertool) of Kirkcaldy District.
(2) Area B described in Part II of the Schedule to this Order (being the Area B transferred by article 4(2) of this Order)—
(a) shall cease to form part of electoral division 2 (Auchtertool/Linktown/Invertiel) of Fife Region and ward 4 (Linktown/Auchtertool) of Kirkcaldy District; and
(b) shall form part of electoral division 36 (Cowdenbeath/Gray Park) of Fife Region and ward 16 (Cowdenbeath South East) of Dunfermline District.

PART I
The area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Dunfermline/Kirkcaldy district boundary on the eastern edge of the southbound carriageway of the Auchtertool to Lochgelly Road (Grid Reference NT 20919211) where a farm track meets the said road; then generally westwards along the southern edge of the said farm track to a point (Grid Reference NT 19889157) on the said boundary; then southwards along the fence line forming the district boundary to a point (Grid Reference NT 20029125); then generally southeastwards and northeastwards along the said boundary to a point Grid Reference NT 21249151; then northwestwards to the point of commencement. The area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Dunfermline/Kirkcaldy district boundary where it meets the southern edge of a farm track (Grid Reference NT 19889157); then southwards along the centre line of the fence along the said boundary to a point (Grid Reference NT20029125) where the said fence meets an unnamed burn; then westwards along the centre line of the said burn to a point (Grid Reference NT 19139108); then southwards along the march fence line to Dronachy Burn at a point (Grid Reference NT 19269066); then westwards and then generally southwestwards along the centre line of the said Burn to a point (Grid Reference NT 18909036); then diagonally southwards across the north access road to the Fife NGL Plant to the northmost point of the fence separating the Fife Eythylene Plant from the Fife NGL Plant (Grid Reference NT 18899029); then southwards along the east face of the said fence to its southernmost point (Grid Reference NT 19018993); then eastwards to the point at which the easternmost pipeline leaves the Fife NGL Plant southwards (Grid Reference NT 19098994); then southwards diagonally across the south access road to the Fife NGL Plant, following the east face of the farm fence to meet the north side of the B925 road at a point (Grid Reference NT 19138963); then eastwards along the north side of the said road to a point (Grid Reference NT 19178964); then southwards across the said road and then southwards, westwards and generally southwards along the east face of a fence to meet the said boundary at a point (Grid Reference NT 19168945); then westwards and northwards along the said boundary to a point (Grid Reference NT 18679197); then eastwards along the said boundary to a point (Grid Reference NT 19669248); then southwards along the said boundary to the point of commencement.
