(1) This Order may be cited as the Easington Lagoons (Area of Special Protection) (No.2) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 6th September 1993.
(2) In this Order—
 “the Easington Lagoons Second Area of Special Protection” means the area specified in the Schedule to this Order;
 “the deposited map” means the map marked “Map referred to in the Easington Lagoons (Area of Special Protection) (No.2) Order 1993 and signed by an Under Secretary in the Department of the Environment, which has been prepared in duplicate and of which one copy has been deposited, and is available for inspection, at the offices of the Holderness Borough Council, and the other has been deposited, and is available for inspection, at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment.”

The area specified in the Schedule to this Order shall be an area of special protection for Little Terns (sterna albifrons).

Any person who enters into the Easington Lagoons Second Area of Special Protection between 1st April and 31st August (inclusive of those dates) in any year shall be guilty of an offence under section 3 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and liable to a special penalty.
