(1) This Order may be cited as the Manchester Central Hospitals and Community Care National Health Service Trust (Change of Name) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 8th February 1993.
(2) In this Order unless the context otherwise requires–
 “the Order” means the Manchester Central Hospitals and Community Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1990;
 “the trust” means the National Health Service Trust established by the Order.

The trust shall be called the Central Manchester National Health Service Trust instead of the Manchester Central Hospitals and Community Care National Health Service Trust and accordingly in the definition of “the trust” in article 1(2) and in article 2 of the Order for the words “Manchester Central Hospitals and Community Care” there shall be substituted the words “Central Manchester”.

The change of name under this Order shall not–
(a) affect any right or obligation of any person
(b) be taken as invalidating any instrument (whether made before, on or after the day on which this Order comes into force) which refers to the trust by its previous name,and all documents and instruments which refer to the trust under its previous name shall be construed as referring to it under its new name.
