(1) This Order may be cited as the East London Boroughs (London Borough Boundaries) (No. 2) Order 1993.
(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st December 1993 for any purpose set out in regulation 4(1) of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976.
(3) For all other purposes, this Order shall come into force on 1st April 1994.

In this Order—
any reference to Hackney, to Newham, to Redbridge, to Tower Hamlets or to Waltham Forest is a reference to the London borough of that name; “the map” means one or more of the 7 maps prepared by the Department of the Environment, marked “Maps of the East London Boroughs (London Borough Boundaries) (No. 2) Order 1993”, duly numbered for reference, and deposited in accordance with regulation 5 of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976; andany reference to a ward is a reference to a ward of the borough from or to which an area is transferred.

(1) Each area which is marked as shown in column 1 of the following Table on the map indicated in column 2 shall be transferred from Newham, and from the ward named in column 3 to Redbridge, to the ward named in column 4, and to the Redbridge petty sessional area.

(2) The areas which are marked B and D on map 1 shall be transferred from Redbridge, and from the Loxford ward to Newham, to the Little Ilford ward, and to the Newham petty sessional area.

(1) Each area which is marked as shown in column 1 of the following Table on the map indicated in column 2 shall be transferred from Newham, and from the ward named in column 3 to Waltham Forest, to the ward named in column 4, and to the Waltham Forest petty sessional area.

The following areas of Hackney shown on map 6—
(a) the part of the Kings Park ward marked A; and
(b) the part of the Wick ward marked B—shall be transferred to Newham, to the New Town ward, to the Newham petty sessional area and to the Eastern London coroner’s district.

Each area which is marked as shown in column 1 of the following Table on the map indicated in column 2 shall be transferred from Tower Hamlets, and from the ward named in column 3 to Newham, to the ward named in column 4, to the Newham petty sessional area and to the Eastern London coroner’s district.

(1) In this article, “provision” means a provision of a development plan (as defined in section 336(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990).
(2) Any provision applying to an area transferred by this Order shall continue to apply to that area, notwithstanding the transfer, until replaced by a provision which so applies, and which is expressed to supersede the preserved provision.
