(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st April 1992.
(2) The following Regulations are hereby revoked—
(a) The Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1981;
(b) The Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1988;
(c) The Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1991;

In paragraph (1) of regulation 11 of the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations (Amalgamations, etc.) Regulations 1975 (fees to accompany an application for approval of a proposed instrument of amalgamation or transfer) for the words “ £645” there shall be substituted the words “ £1241”.

In paragraph (2) of regulation 11 of the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations (Amalgamations, etc.) Regulations 1975 for the words “ £15” there shall be substituted the words “ £71” (fee on an application for approval of a change of name) and for the words “ £3” there shall be substituted the words “ £38” (fee for every inspection on the same day of documents kept by the Certification Officer under the Trade Union (Amalgamations, etc.) Act 1964 relating to one and the same organisation).

In regulation 12 of the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations (Amalgamations, etc.) Regulations 1975 (fee for the entry of the name of an amalgamated organisation in the lists maintained by the Certification Officer where the name of each of the amalgamating organisations is already so entered) for the words “ £12.50” there shall be substituted the words “ £110”.

The fee of £288 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 8(4) of the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1974 (fee on application by an organisation of workers or of employers to have its name entered in the list of trade unions or employers' associations).

The fee of £448 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 8(2) of the Employment Protection Act 1975 (fee on application by a trade union for a certificate of independence).
