This Order may be cited as the Combined Probation Areas (North Wales) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st March 1992.

That part of Schedule 2 to the Combined Probation Areas Order 1986 which relates to the North Wales Probation Committee shall be amended by–
(a) omitting the entries in respect of the petty sessions areas of Ardudwy-is-Artro, Ardudwy-uwch-Artro, Conwy and Llandudno, Eifionydd, Estimaner, Nant Conwy, Penllyn, Pwllheli and Talybont;
(b) inserting, in alphabetical order,–
(i) in column 1 “Aberconwy” and corresponding to this in column 3 “1”;
(ii) in column 1 “Eifionydd and Pwllheli” and corresponding to this in column 3 “1”;
(iii) in column 1 “North Meirionnydd” and corresponding to this in column 3 “1”; and
(iv) in column 1 “South Meirionnydd” and corresponding to this in column 3 “1”.

The member of the North Wales Probation Committee appointed before 1st March 1992 by the justices for the petty sessions areas of Conwy and Llandudno and Nant Conwy shall continue to hold office as if he had been appointed by the justices for the new petty sessions area of Aberconwy.

The member of the North Wales Probation Committee appointed before 1st March 1992 by the justices for the petty sessions areas of Eifionydd and Pwllheli shall continue to hold office as if he had been appointed by the justices for the new petty sessions area of Eifionydd and Pwllheli.

The member of the North Wales Probation Committee appointed before 1st March 1992 by the justices for the petty sessions areas of Ardudwy-is-Artro and Ardudwy-uwch-Artro shall continue to hold office as if he had been appointed by the justices for the new petty sessions area of North Meirionnydd.

The member of the North Wales Probation Committee appointed before 1st March 1992 by the justices for the petty sessions areas of Estimaner, Penllyn and Talybont shall continue to hold office as if he had been appointed by the justices for the new petty sessions area of South Meirionnydd.
