This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) (No. 4) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st December 1992.

The following District Health Authorities are hereby abolished:–
(a) Airedale Health Authority;
(b) Bradford Health Authority;
(c) Harrogate Health Authority;
(d) Northallerton Health Authority;
(e) Scarborough Health Authority;
(f) York Health Authority.

(1) Bradford Health Authority is established a District Health Authority for Bradford District.
(2) North Yorkshire Health Authority is established a District Health Authority for North Yorkshire District.

In consequence of articles 2 and 3 of this Order the entries in columns (1) and (2) of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1990 shall be amended–
(a) by the omission of the entries relating to Airedale District;
(b) by the omission of the entries relating to Harrogate District, Northallerton District, Scarborough District and York District and the insertion after the entries relating to Leeds District of the entries–“
North Yorkshire North Yorkshire Health Authority”.
