These regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st February 1992.

The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) Regulations 1982 shall be further amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

In sub-paragraphs (q) and (r) of regulation 3(2) for the words “the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1525” there shall be substituted the words “the maximum gross weight of which does not exceed 3500”.

After item 8 in Schedule 1, there shall be added the following item—“
9. Speed limiters Construction and Use Regulations Design, construction and equipment requirements in regulation 36B, paragraph (2) and either—
(a) paragraph (3)(a), or
(b) paragraph (4) excluding the requirement relating to calibrations Vehicles with a maximum gross weight of less than 7500 kg. 1.2.1992
  or
  These Regulations Requirements relating to maximum speed specified in the note below.
   Note: A vehicle meets the requirements relating to maximum speed referred to above if it has a maximum speed (within the meaning of the Construction and Use Regulations) of less than 60 miles per hour.”
