This Order may be cited as the Loch Morar and River Morar Protection Order 1992 and shall come into force on 7th October 1992.

In this Order —
 “freshwater fish” has the same meaning as in section 24(1) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Protection) (Scotland) Act 1951;
 “the map” means the map marked “Area of the Loch Morar and River Morar Protection Order 1992”, signed on behalf of the Secretary of State for Scotland and deposited in the office of the Scottish Office Agriculture and Fisheries Department, Pentland House, Robb’s Loan, Edinburgh.

Fishing for or taking freshwater fish in the inland waters in the area prescribed in article 4 hereof, without legal right or without written permission from a person having such a right, is hereby prohibited.

The prescribed area, which lies in Highland Region, shall be that part of the catchment area of the River Morar comprising—
(a) Loch Morar and its banks; and
(b) the River Morar and its banks between the point where the river leaves Loch Morar and the seaward side of the pool in the river known as the Sea Pooland is delineated by a continuous blue line on the map.
