(1) This Order may be cited as the St Gabriel's, Knolle Park, Woolton, Liverpool Instrument of Management (Variation) Order 1992 and shall come into force on8th October 1992.

For Article 3 of the St Gabriel's, Knolle Park, Woolton, Liverpool Instrument of Management Order 1973 there shall be substituted the following—“

(1) The purpose of the home shall, subject to paragraph (2) of this Article, be—
(a) to provide accommodation for children looked after by a local authority who have attained the age of two years but who have not attained the age of sixteen years at the date of their admission to the home;
(b) to provide accommodation for persons for whom a local authority may provide accommodation pursuant to subsection (5) of section 20 (provision of accommodation for those who are 16 but under 21) of the Children Act 1989;
(c) to provide two units for accommodating—
(i) mothers who are being looked after by a local authority and their children;
(ii) mothers for whom a local authority is making available advice and assistance under section 24 of the Children Act 1989 (advice and assistance for certain children) and their children.
(2) The total number of all persons accommodated in the home at any one time shall not exceed sixty and the total number of mothers accommodated at any one time in any one unit under paragraph (1)(c) of this Article shall not exceed six.
(3) The home shall be of such a nature that facilities are provided for the care, treatment and training of persons accommodated there.”
