These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st October 1992.

In these Regulations—
 “the Act” means the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Act 1965; and
 “the principal Regulations” means the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Regulations 1965.

In regulation 2(1) of the principal Regulations, for the definition of “still-born child”, there shall be substituted the following definition:—“
 “still-born child” shall have the same meaning as in section 56(1) of the Act and “still-birth” shall be construed accordingly.”.
