This Order may be cited as the Tower Hamlets (Prescribed Routes) Traffic Order 1968 (Variation) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 29th August 1992.

The Tower Hamlets (Prescribed Routes) Traffic Order 1968 shall be varied as follows.

In articles 4 and 11 for the words “southernmost island sites” there shall be substituted “southernmost island site”.

In article 6 for the words from “the east side” to the end there shall be substituted—“
 the west side of the junctions with St Anne Street and Three Colt Street eastwards for a distance of 13 metres.”.

In article 7 the word “northernmost” in the second place where it occurs shall be omitted.

For article 9 there shall be substituted—“
9 
No person shall cause any vehicle proceeding westbound in East India Dock Road in the said London Borough to turn so as to face in the opposite direction to that in which it was proceeding at the junction with Burdett Road, Commercial Road and West India Dock Road.”.

Article 10 shall be omitted.

For article 12 there shall be substituted—“
12 
No person shall cause any vehicle to enter those parts of the carriageway of Commercial Road which lie immediately north and immediately south of the northernmost island sites situate in that road or that part of the carriageway of East India Dock Road which lies south of the island site situated in that road from the junctions of Burdett Road, Commercial Road, East India Dock Road and West India Dock Road.”.
