(1) This Order may be cited as the Stafford and Staffordshire Moorlands (District Boundaries) Order 1992.
(2) This Order shall come into force on 25th August 1992 for any purpose set out in regulation 4(1) of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976.
(3) For all other purposes, this Order shall come into force on 1st April 1993.

In this Order—
 any reference to an electoral division is a reference to an electoral division of the county of Staffordshire;
 “the map ” means the map prepared by the Department of the Environment, marked  “Map of the Stafford and Staffordshire Moorlands (District Boundaries) Order 1992 ”, and deposited in accordance with regulation 5 of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976;
 “Stafford ” means the borough of Stafford; and
 “Staffordshire Moorlands ” means the district of that name.

(1) The area marked B on the map shall be transferred from Stafford, and from the parish of Fulford to—
(a) Staffordshire Moorlands;
(b) the parish of Forsbrook;
(c) the Forsbrook district ward, and the Caverswall electoral division; and to
(d) the Staffordshire Moorlands petty sessional division.
(2) The areas marked A and C on the map shall be transferred from Staffordshire Moorlands, and from the parish of Forsbrook to—
(a) Stafford;
(b) the parish of Fulford, and the Blythe Bridge parish ward:
(c) the Fulford borough ward, and the Stone Rural electoral division; and to
(d) the Mid Staffordshire petty sessional division.

(1) In this article, “provision” means a provision of a development plan (as defined in section 336 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990).
(2) Any provision applying to an area transferred by this Order shall continue to apply to that area, notwithstanding the transfer, until replaced by a provision which so applies, and which is expressed to supersede the preserved provision.
