(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security Benefit (Persons Abroad) Amendment Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 5th August 1992.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Social Security Benefit (Persons Abroad) Regulations 1975.

In regulation 4(1) of the principal Regulations (modification of the Act in relation to widow’s benefit, child’s special allowance, guardian’s allowance and retirement pension) for the words “or a retirement pension of any category” there shall be substituted the words “, a retirement pension of any category or graduated retirement benefit”.

In regulation 5(3)(c) of the principal Regulations (application of disqualification in respect of up-rating of benefit)—
(a) after the words “additional retirement pension of any category” there shall be inserted the words “or any additional graduated retirement benefit”; and
(b) after the words “retirement pension” in the second place where they occur there shall be inserted the words “or to graduated retirement benefit”.
