These Regulations may be cited as the Emulsifiers and Stabilisers in Food (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 10th March 1992.

In these Regulations “the English and Welsh Regulations” means the Emulsifiers and Stabilisers in Food Regulations 1989 and “the Scottish Regulations” means the Emulsifiers and Stabilisers in Food (Scotland) Regulations 1989.

In Part II of Schedule 1 to, respectively, the English and Welsh Regulations and the Scottish Regulations there shall be added, after the words “Council Directive 78/663/EEC” in the entries relating to E407 Carrageenan, E466 Carboxymethylcellulose and E473 Sucrose esters of fatty acids, in each case, the words “as amended by Article 1 of Commission Directive 90/612/EEC”.
