(1) This Order may be cited as the Social Security Act 1990 (Commencement No.3) Order 1991.
(2) In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires, references to sections and Schedules are references to sections of, and Schedules to, the Social Security Act 1990.

The day appointed for the coming into force of—
(a) section 4 (computation of additional pension for purposes of invalidity pension etc.), is 6th April 1991;
(b) Schedule 6, paragraph 11 (tax years) and section 21(1) (minor and consequential amendments) in so far as it relates to it, is 6th April 1991;
(c) Schedule 6, paragraph 16 (statutory sick pay for NHS staff with divided contracts) and section 21(1) in so far as it relates to it, is 1st April 1991;
(d) Schedule 6, paragraph 22 (statutory maternity pay for NHS staff with divided contracts) and section 21(1) in so far as it relates to it, is 1st April 1991;
(e) Schedule 4, paragraph 10 (insurance companies with which occupational pension scheme benefits may be appropriately secured) and section 14(1) in so far as it relates to it, for the purposes only of authorising the making of regulations which are expressed to come into force on or after 4th November 1991, is 13th May 1991;
(f) Schedule 4, paragraph 10 in so far as it is not already in force, and section 14(1) in so far as it relates to it, is 4th November 1991.
