This Order may be cited as the Montrose (Pilotage) Harbour RevisionOrder 1990 and shall come into force on the date fixed in accordancewith the provisions of the Statutory Orders (Special Procedure) Acts1945 and 1965.

In this Order—
 “harbour” means the harbour of Montrose as described in Article 19 of theMontrose Harbour Revision Order 1974;
 “level of high water” means the level of mean high water springs;
 “signed plan” means the plan signed in triplicate by an Under Secretary in theDepartment of Transport copies of which have been deposited as follows,that is to say, one copy at the Department of Transport, one copy withthe Sheriff Clerk of the Sheriff Court district of Arbroath and one copyat the principal office of the Trustees at South Quay, Ferryden,Montrose DD10 9SL;
 “Trustees” means the Trustees of the harbour incorporated by the MontroseHarbour Act 1837.

The limits within which the Trustees shall have jurisdiction for thepurposes of pilotage under Part 1 of the Pilotage Act 1987 shall include(in addition to the harbour) the area to the east of the existingharbour, shaded pink on the signed plan, and bounded by a straight linefrom the eastern extremity of the level of high water from Scurdie NessLighthouse for a distance of 1450 metres or thereabouts to a pointlatitude 56°42"09'N longitude 02°24"58'Wintersecting an arc of 1210 metres radius from Scurdie Ness Lighthouseand then in an arc of 1210 metres radius from Scurdie Ness Lighthouse toa point latitude 56°42"28'N longitude 02°25"12'Wthen in a straight line in a west-south-westerly direction for adistance of 1230 metres or thereabouts to a position latitude56°42"19.2'N longitude 02°26"20.9'W.
