This Order may be cited as the Sunderland (Hylton Riverside and Southwick) Enterprise Zone (Designation) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 27th April 1990.

In this Order, “the deposited map” means the set of maps, numbered 1 and 2, marked “Map referred to in the Sunderland (Hylton Riverside and Southwick) Enterprise Zone (Designation) Order 1990” prepared in duplicate and signed by an Under Secretary in the Department of the Environment, of which one duplicate has been deposited and is available for inspection at the principal offices of the Tyne and Wear Development Corporation and the other duplicate has been deposited and is available for inspection at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment.

(1) The area to which the Sunderland No. 1—Hylton Riverside and Southwick Enterprise Zone Scheme relates and which is shown and marked as such on the deposited map is hereby designated as an enterprise zone.
(2) The boundaries of the said enterprise zone are represented on the deposited map by the outside edge of the black line and either stippled or edged internally with a single stippled band.

Designation under article 3 of this Order shall take effect on 27th April 1990 and the designated area shall remain an enterprise zone for a period of 10 years from that date.

The Tyne and Wear Development Corporation is hereby designated as the enterprise zone authority for the Sunderland No. 1—Hylton Riverside and Southwick Enterprise Zone.
