This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Driver Licensing and Information Systems) Act 1989 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1990.

The provisions of the Road Traffic (Driver Licensing and Information Systems) Act 1989 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 1st April 1991.

Provisions of the Act Subject Matter

(1) Section 1 (so far as not already in force) Abolition of special licences for driving HGVs and PSVs

(2) Section 2 Special provisions relating to licensing of drivers of LGVs and PCVs

(3) Section 4 Tests of competence and related conditions of entitlement to driving licences

(4) Section 5 (so far as not already in force) Relevant driving tests under external laws which entitle persons with prescribed disabilities to have licences
