This Order may be cited as the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Copper or Other Metal Poisoning) (England) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 31st August 1990.

In the opinion of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, sheep in the area designated in article 3 below may have eaten copper or other poisonous metal and are likely to create a hazard to human health if their meat is consumed.

The area described in the schedule to this Order is hereby designated for the purposes of Part I of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985.

(1) No person shall move from the designated area any sheep bearing an ear tag described in paragraph (3).
(2) No person shall move from the designated area anything derived from any such sheep.
(3) The ear tags referred to in paragraph (1) are ear tags bearing the following numbers—
