(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Welfare Food Amendment Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 11th April 1989.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Welfare Food Regulations 1988.

In regulation 5(1) of the principal Regulations (purchase of welfare food) and in regulation 10(2) of the principal Regulations (inability to purchase dried milk at a reduced price) for “£2.55” in each place where it occurs, there shall be substituted “£2.70”.

In regulation 6 of the principal Regulations (use of milk, dried milk and vitamins) for “regulation 4.” there shall be substituted “
 regulation 4; or
(d) in the case of milk, the person for whom it was obtained is a child under 30 weeks old being suckled by its mother, in which case the milk may be consumed by the mother.”.

In Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations, after the entry relating to Cow and Gate Premium there shall be inserted–“
Farley’s OsterMilk Farley Health Products Ltd
Farley’s OsterMilk Two Farley Health Products Ltd”.
