This Order may be cited as the A3 Trunk Road (Roehampton Vale, Wandsworth) (Speed Limits) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 11th December 1989.

In this Order:
 “Roehampton Vale” means that length of the London-Portsmouth Trunk Road (A3) (hereinafter called “the trunk road”) in the London Borough of Wandsworth known as Roehampton Vale;
 “the southwestbound exit slip road” means that length of road which links the southwestbound carriageway of the trunk road with Stag Lane;
 “the southwestbound access slip road” means that length of road which links Stag Lane with the southwestbound carriageway of the trunk road;
 “the northeastbound exit slip road” means that length of road which links the northeastbound carriageway of the trunk road with the un-named road leading to Stag Lane;
 “the northeastbound access slip road” means that length of road which links the un-named road leading from Stag Lane with the northeastbound carriageway of the trunk road; and
 “the island site” means the triangular island site in the southwestbound carriageway of Roehampton Vale at its junction with Stag Lane.

No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on the length of the southwestbound exit slip road between the northeastern extremity of the island site and its junction with Stag Lane.

No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on –
(a) the length of the southwestbound exit slip road between its junctions with the southwestbound carriageway of Roehampton Vale and the northeastern extremity of the island site;
(b) the southwestbound access slip road;
(c) the northeastbound exit slip road; and
(d) the northeastbound access slip road.
