This Order may be cited as the Plant Health (Great Britain) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1989, shall apply to Great Britain and shall come into force on 14th July 1989.

The Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 1987 shall be amended as follows:–
(1) in section A of Part III of Schedule 1 after the words “4. Ditylenchus dipsaci (Kühn) Filipjev – Stem Nematode” there shall be inserted the following –“

Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande) – Western Flower Thrips”; and
(2) in Part IIA of Schedule 3 in column 2 of Item 4 for the words “The Import and Export of Trees, Wood and Bark (Health) (Great Britain) Order 1980” there shall be substituted the words “The Plant Health (Forestry) (Great Britain) Order 1989”, and the corresponding footnote shall read “S.I.1989/823”.
