(1) This Order may be cited as the Thames Water Authority (Repeal of Local Enactments) Order 1988 and shall come into force on the 17th February 1988.
(2) This Order and the Thames Water Authority Acts and Orders 1974 to 1987 may be cited together as the Thames Water Authority Acts and Orders 1974 to 1988.

The enactments specified in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order (which enable the Thames Water Authority (as the successor to the Metropolitan Water Board) to abstract defined quantities of water from the River Thames between Windsor and Teddington Weir) are hereby repealed to the extent specified in column (2) thereof.
