These Regulations may be cited as the River Tweed (Baits and Lures) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 7th March 1988.

Natural prawns and shrimps (whether fresh or preserved, dyed or natural colour) are specified for the purposes of the definition of “rod and line” in section 24(1) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Protection) (Scotland) Act 1951().

These Regulations apply in relation to the River Tweed during the period from 1st June to 14th September, both dates inclusive, in each year.
