This Order may be cited as the Wells (Pilotage) Harbour Revision Order 1988 and shall come into force on 7th December 1988.

In this Order—
 “the Commissioners” means the Wells Harbour Commissioners
 “the existing area of jurisdiction” means the harbour and quay of Wells in the County of Norfolk
 “signed plan” means the plan signed in triplicate by an Under Secretary in the Department of Transport, two copies of which have been deposited at that Department and one copy of which has been deposited with the Clerk to Wells Harbour Commissioners at Belmont House, Wells next the Sea, Norfolk, NR23 1ES.

The limits within which the Commissioners shall have jurisdiction for the purposes of pilotage under Part I of the Pilotage Act 1987 shall include (in addition to the existing area of jurisdiction) the area within the following limits namely:—
(a) An imaginary line drawn true north from Burnham Overy Church to a point four nautical miles therefrom (shown between the points marked “A” and “B” on the signed plan)
(b) An imaginary line drawn from the last-mentioned point true east until it intersects the next mentioned line (shown between the points marked “B” and “C” on the signed plan) and
(c) An imaginary line drawn true north from Cockthorpe Church (shown between the points marked “C” and “D” on the signed plan).
