This Order may be cited as the Energy Act 1983 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1988.

(1) The repeals in Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the Act specified in the Appendix to this Order shall, subject to paragraph (2) of this Article, come into force on 1st October 1988.
(2) Notwithstanding the repeal of paragraph (c) of section 10 of the Schedule to the Electric Lighting (Clauses) Act 1899, any approval given under that paragraph shall continue to apply, and the regulations of the Electricity Supply Regulations 1988 specified in regulation 2(1) of those Regulations shall not apply, in relation to the works the subject of the approval until the date on which there is a material change to those works.
