(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Reorganisation (Property) (Tyne and Wear) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 22nd July 1988.
(2) In this Order “the Body” means the Tyne and Wear Residuary Body.

There shall vest in each local authority mentioned below the land of the Body which is specified in the corresponding Schedule—

Any land forming the course or former course of the Bowes Railway, and any land associated with and adjoining such land, which is vested in the Body shall vest in the local authority in whose area the land is situated.

All rights and liabilities acquired or incurred by the Body exclusively in connection with any land transferred by this Order shall vest in the local authority to which that land is transferred.

SCHEDULE 1

Sites of Nos. 5, 7 and 9 Oldwell Lane, Winlaton.
The parcels of land consisting of the approximate area mentioned below and situated as so mentioned—

A parcel of land consisting of approximately 200 square metres and including the substation site, situated at the north end of Sandyford House car park, Jesmond.
