(1) In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires, references to sections and Schedules are references to sections of and Schedules to the Social Security Act 1986.

(1) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Social Security Act 1986 which are specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Order is 1st May 1987.
(2) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Social Security Act 1986 which are specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Order is 4th January 1988.
(3) The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Social Security Act 1986 which are specified in Part III of the Schedule to this Order is 6th April 1988.
