This Order may be cited as the International Fund for Ireland (Immunities and Privileges) Order 1986 and shall come into operation on the date on which the provisions of Article 5(2) of the Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the Republic of Ireland concerning the International Fund for Ireland signed at Dublin and London on 18th September 1986 become effective for the two Governments. This date shall be notified in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes.

The International Fund for Ireland (hereinafter referred to as the Organisation) is an organisation of which the United Kingdom and another sovereign Power are members.
3 
The Organisation shall have the legal capacities of a body corporate.
4 
Within the scope of its official activities, the Organisation shall have exemption from taxes on income and capital gains.
