This Order may be cited as the Public Records (British Railways Board) Order 1984.

Subject to Article 3 below, all records of the British Railways Board which have been or may after the date of this Order be transferred by the British Railways Board to and accepted by the Keeper of Public Records shall be treated as public records for the purposes of the Public Records Act 1958.
3 
Staff records shall not be treated as public records by virtue of Article 2 above until the expiration of the period of seventy-five years beginning with the first day of January in the year next after that in which they were created.
